Lots of the Same Old Stuff

October has been a busy month... well, at least when it comes to school and work. Yep, this month has been a lot of the same old stuff. We've spent, or rather I've spent, a lot of time with Jenna while she's had some "drama" with boys. Other than that, we've done relatively nothing.

That did change this weekend though when we finally got together with our "long-lost" friends, the Matheson's. I'm pretty sure that the last time that we saw them was when we went camping this summer.. so it's been awhile. Anyways, we met up in Provo on Saturday night to go to Comedy Sportz. And let me tell you, it was a very entertaining evening. Comedy Sportz is basically like the TV show Who's Line is it Anyways?, except it's live. Most of the stuff they did was pretty funny, and I even got one of my suggestions used in a skit, so I felt special. After the show, we all went to Cold Stone for some delicious ice cream and to talk politics (fun stuff). But yeah, we're planning on hanging out again this weekend, and from what I understand, we'll be going to Wingers and then to Ikea. Should be fun!

As far as school goes, Tucker and I have had a few tests, and we've been doing pretty good. I got 100% (plus some extra credit) on my last Russian test! I have a test in my math class this week... and I'm not sure how I'll do, but I'm going to be studying in the Math Lab with a friend today, so hopefully that will help. Oh yeah.. I just remembered that I have a take-home midterm for my Sociology class this week too..... sucky.

Well, I think that's about it. If I remember I'll get on later tonight to put up pictures of me and Tucker carving our pumpkin.

Must See!!!

So we rented this movie tonight, it's one of those that I've been meaning to see for a really long time, but just haven't. I LOVED this movie, and I think even Tucker enjoyed it... though he said the best part of the movie was the midget reporter and his mini-row boat. But yeah, this was a great movie, all about being happy with yourself the way you are. If you haven't seen this yet, you really should!!!

Beginning of October

First I'd like to make the observation that it's far too early for there to be snow on the mountains... stupid cold weather. After the storm that dropped the snow on the mountains, I made sure that Tucker remembered my desire to someday live someplace with a more mild climate. Doesn't necessarily have to be super hot or have no snow, but less snow and slightly warmer than what we get here would be nice.

Anywho, since I last posted, Tucker and I got ourselves our anniversary present to each other a little early. This was totally Tucker's idea too, there was no prompting or hinting on my part at all. We got a second guinea pig!!!! Now Chimi (the one we already had) has a friend: Changa. And to celebrate their namesake, we had chimichanga's the day after we got Changa. It took them a little while to get used to each other, but they get along really well now. I have suspicions that Chimi thinks Changa is a girl, mostly because he tends to purr when ever Changa walks by and... other events that have happened.... yeah. For clarification, they're both boys.

I also did Activity day today with the girls in my ward, and we made Chia pets out of panty hose. I originally got this idea from Lois while we were out on the East coast, so thanks Lois! The only hard part about this little project was driving around to find grass seed, finally went to Lowes and they had some, but yeah, only got it a couple hours before the activity was to take place, so I was beginning to think of other things we could do in place of the chia pets. In the end it worked out nicely, and the girls had a fun time making them.
