So, the remodelling on the kitchen started about three weeks ago, and is in the very final stages. There just a little bit of painting that needs to get done on the ceiling, but everything is looking good. Of course, there's that underlying curse that seems to have come upon me and Tucker: we have problems with pipes/water. Yesterday (saturday), we tried to run the dishwasher and one of the pipes that hooks up to it came loose and sort of started spraying huge amounts of water all over the kitchen. I wasn't at home when it happened, but apparently there was water spread throughout the whole kitchen. Here's where I tend to let out an exasperated sigh. I suppose eventually things will get all done and fixed, hopefully that will be by the end of this next week.
In slightly better news... well, not really news, but whatever. Tucker and I went and walked around a couple of model homes down in Mapleton. Really nice places, little out of our price range at the moment (the home cost $450,000), but yeah, we'll save for a few years, give or take, and be able to afford that some day. It was a good way to get ideas on what we want in the future though, and we both agree that it's going to be tons of fun to own a home.
