Playing the waiting game

Pretty dang bored at the moment.

No baby yet.  Nothing really going on either.

Our sister-in-law Stephanie got to town last weekend and has been staying with us while she looks for an apartment.  Not gonna lie, I'm glad it's her and not us that has to look for an apartment; super stressful.  She did find one that she really likes that's only about 5ish minutes away from us (and in our ward, woot!) that we're hopeful about.  If they aren't approved for it, I think we'll all be really surprised seeing as Tucker's parents are co-signing with them.

It's strange to think that we're down into single digit days for the arrival of little Baby.  Even stranger sometimes to think that the little alien moving around inside of me is actually going to have a face soon... and not be in me anymore.  I think I'll be glad to "have my body back" to myself again.  I'm sick of sleeping on my sides, and not being able to get up off the couch, and not being able to bend over.

Next week Jenna gets here on Wednesday which should be super fun since I haven't seen her in like a year.  My parents won't get here until Saturday.  And hopefully Baby will decide to make her entrance at a convenient time for everyone (and not late either).

So that's it for now.  When stuff starts to happen, I'm hoping that we'll be able to keep everyone posted through facebook and what not.

North Cak-a-Lacky

Or for those of you that didn't understand that, North Carolina. Yep, that's right we're finally out here and all moved in. I would have posted something sooner, but there was some drama with our internet, and we just barely got it working this morning. So.

Tucker has started school at NC State, and seems to be enjoying it. He hasn't really complained about anything yet... though, he doesn't complain much anyways. But he does taste a lot of cheese, or whey, or powdered milk. Basically lots of dairy stuff. Yum?

I got out here about a week ago after a super long drive with my parents (we had to go up to Provo, then come back down from Provo, and THEN drive out to NC) who were super nice in being willing to help us move. If it wasn't for them, we would have had to start from scratch for the most part out here. It was hard to see them go, especially when my dad cried as well when they left; it was a given that my mom and I would cry, but not for him. Then my in-laws came up with a bunch of stuff for us, so our apartment is filling in quite nicely. And not only did Tucker's family give us some furniture, but they brought us tons of groceries. Super, super nice of them. I consider myself lucky with how nice/good Tucker's family is.

But yeah, we really like our apartment. We consider it a step up because it's bigger than our last, but there are some weird problems (like the fact that most everything is slanted downhill) with this one that we are still figuring out.

Now all I need to do is find a job, so wish me luck!

Finally done with Finals

That's right. School's done for the semester. Let the packing/cleaning/throwing away of tons of stuff begin in earnest!

On a depressing note, we're hanging out with Scott, Stephanie, and Sam tonight. Now, normally that's not depressing, but the fact that it could potentially be the last time that we hang out with them until next Christmas is. Depending on what goes on in the summer, we might not see them. Sad day!! I will miss the hours of Stephanie and I watching the boys play Smash Bros, and occasionally joining in and getting our trash kicked.

But on a very happy note, we're only a few short weeks away from being able to hang out with Shad, Katie, Barbi, Robert, and their respective kids. Change is sad, but definitely good at the same time.

And so it begins...

School's winding down, and as of today, Tucker and I only have 2 weeks left in Utah. 2 WEEKS!! It's so crazy to think that we aren't going to be coming back here after Christmas. And not gonna lie, with all the snow we got this past weekend, and with all the snow that's supposed to come this next week, I'm super excited to leave.

I've finally started going through stuff and sort of packing this week. I posted ads on a couple sites for all the furniture that we want to sell/get rid of before we leave, and we've already sold 3 of the 5 things we posted. Kind of crazy how fast it happened. But it's a relief knowing I don't have to worry about those things anymore. Packing, however, is another story. That's what I'm stressing over. I just can't see all the stuff we want to take actually fitting into our car. So if anyone has advice about moving long, long distances, I'm open.
